# O'Shaughnessy Fellowships > The O'Shaughnessy Fellowship is a one-year program that supports the world’s boldest builders, researchers, and creatives with up to $100,000 in equity-free funding. We select dozens of extraordinary individuals per cohort from over 160 countries, providing them with the resources and network to advance civilization without the constraints of traditional institutions. To date, we have supported over 75 total fellows across a diverse range of scientific, artistic, and technological domains. The Fellowship offers twelve months of pure possibility. No equity, no corporate overlords, no thesis requirements, and no committee approvals. The O'Shaughnessy Fellowship is designed for those who have already demonstrated they can build something remarkable when nobody was watching. We believe credentialism is dying and the most important question is no longer "Where did you study?" but "What have you done?" Our mission is to unite the world’s boldest souls and brightest minds to create our future. The program provides the freedom to tinker, to fail spectacularly, and to learn from new mistakes. Beyond the funding, Fellows join a growing community of unique minds and gain direct access to a network of investors, partners, and mentors. We look for self-directed tinkerers, prolific problem solvers, and the relentlessly resourceful who can MacGyver their way through obstacles with limited resources. You keep 100% ownership of your work, and our network becomes your network. Our selection process is rolling and rigorous, moving from an initial application to intro calls and deeper conversations with the OSV team and extended network. We have funded fellows working on everything from synthetic cells and affordable prosthetics to endangered language preservation and global viral music. Whether you are making a path-breaking film with the latest technology, researching biological machinery to stop aging, or designing novel roses that don't exist in nature, we provide the capital and community to make your vision real. ## Program Details - [O'Shaughnessy Fellowship Homepage](https://www.osvfellowship.com): The primary hub for the fellowship program, detailing our philosophy and mission to support unconventional talent. - [Meet the Fellows](https://www.osvfellowship.com/winners): A comprehensive list of the 84 fellows and grant recipients who have been supported by the program across 160+ countries. ## How to Apply - [Application Information](https://www.osvfellowship.com/apply): Details on the application process, including key dates and the three stages of selection.
