We advance science by seeing the invisible, and OSV Fellowship backs individuals who dare to stare into the darkness. It's an honor to be supported by OSV, and I can't wait to set off on this journey to unveil biology's deepest secrets.

I'm grateful for the O'Shaughnessy Fellowship and excited to be joining this community. Underrepresented and biased data in healthcare shape which treatments get built and who they actually work for. I look forward to working on this alongside a community that is rigorous, diverse, and genuinely cares about the world.

Being selected as a recipient of the O'Shaughnessy Fellowship is the greatest honour I’ve experienced. It means more than simply being empowered to pursue my vision. Having Jim and the OSV team put their belief in me, and my work is an experience that will stick with me and drive me for life.

Receiving this Fellowship means getting to dedicate my life to do the most meaningful work I can imagine: trying to cure the disease I and nearly one million others worldwide live with. I could not be more grateful for Jim and the OSV team for their belief in this mission and the vision of a world free from FSHD.

I’m incredibly grateful to receive this fellowship and to have my creativity recognized in such a meaningful way. Not everyone gets the opportunity to pursue their ideas when inspiration strikes or to give those ideas the time and space they deserve. I’m deeply grateful to OSV for giving me that opportunity, and I’m excited to carry it into my evolving approach to filmmaking.

Chronic pain is a civilisation-scale problem with solutions finally within the realm of the possible. Receiving the OSV fellowship is a transformational moment that brings us one step closer to the flourishing future we dream of.

For the past 10 years, I've been trying to learn how to download new functions into our biology. This fellowship will enable me to actually do it, and there's no good way to describe what it means to feel all of these ideas finally coming within reach.

For most of my life I've witnessed people twist data to win arguments rather than to understand the world. I've spent a decade trying to change that. With the O'Shaughnessy Fellowship, I'm finally going straight to it. The goal is to help people learn to use data to see the world from someone else's eyes. This can be built. And now, it will be.

OSV’s support will help me build the social intelligence that any robot interacting with people will need to be truly useful in the real world.

I'm starting with a table-top robot to support children learning to read, and building toward models that enable robots to integrate fluidly and deliver value across domains. I'm grateful for the trust the OSV team has placed in my vision and it emboldened my conviction when I needed it the most.

This fellowship is a recognition to an entire language. I'm sure that, in a decade, we will look back on Perpetuo as the magazine that changed the course of Spanish. When that happens, I will look back myself to this fellowship as the opportunity that changed the course for Perpetuo.

We're inventing a new industry: theatrical experiences for space environments, felt on Earth. Thank you, OSV, for backing the misfits who insist humanity's next chapter be filled with wonder.
