Biography

Dimitri Vallein is an award-winning filmmaker and founder of Revery, a film and technology company building original story worlds for the next generation of cinema and spatial computing. His films have earned over 40 international festival selections, including Animation First in New York and Dances With Films in Los Angeles, with coverage in Animation World Network and Animation Magazine. His immersive experiences have gathered more than 500 million views worldwide.

Combining cinematic storytelling with emerging technologies, he creates science fiction that invites audiences to imagine futures shaped by scientific discovery, technological progress, and human ingenuity, offering a glimpse of what humanity could become.

He is currently developing The Day I Met You, an immersive science-fiction film using 4D Gaussian Splatting to bring real actors’ performances into photorealistic, three-dimensional worlds. Exploring love across parallel realities, the film brings quantum physics and philosophy into an intimate human story. It is being developed for both traditional cinema screens and fully immersive VR experiences.

In Dimitri's words

“I want to make beautiful films that bring our most extraordinary scientific and philosophical ideas into popular culture. Films that leave people fascinated by reality and excited about what we could become. Receiving an O’Shaughnessy Fellowship will help me bring that vision to life. I’m grateful to the OSV team for believing in ambitious ideas before the path is obvious.”
