He is the author of the essay collections "Los Constitucionalistas" and the forth coming "A dónde van las golondrinas". Besides Perpetuo, he's published in Politico, El Pais, and the Miami Herald.
In Jose's words
“This fellowship is a recognition to an entire language. I'm sure that, in a decade, we will look back on Perpetuo as the magazine that changed the course of Spanish. When that happens, I will look back myself to this fellowship as the opportunity that changed the course for Perpetuo.”

“I hope one day people can look back at Perpetuo and see it as a turning point in the Spanish language. If that is the case, becoming part of the OSV community should be seen as a turning point for Perpetuo—one for which I shall be forever grateful.”
