Ending fatigue in high-stakes industries with noninvasive neurotechnology-enabled headsets
Biography
Avaneesh Babu is an engineer developing next-generation closed-loop neurotechnology. A Junior studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, he has conducted neural systems and data acquisition research at the JHU School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School.
Avaneesh is the CEO and co-founder of Neuro Safety Systems, where he engineers wearable neuroauditory devices to detect fatigue early and make that data actionable to reduce crashes and increase organizational safety in logistics and beyond. Alongside his technical work, he served as an EMT and plays rugby on the JHU Mens Rugby team!
He plans to leverage the O’Shaughnessy Fellowship to accelerate the translation of adaptive neural devices from the lab to real-world clinical and commercial markets.
In Avaneesh's words
“This fellowship directly empowers my team and me to continue fortifying our research-grade neurotechnology for deployment in high-stakes environments. We're incredibly grateful to O'Shaughnessy Ventures for recognizing the value of our efforts, and we intend to fully maximize the capital, network, and interest they’ve invested in us. Together, we will make high-risk operations safer forever.”
