Data for the people
Democratizing data-driven storytelling for the public good.
Biography
Eric Pachman grew up in Manhattan in the early 80s, raised by two loving parents. What followed was a career that looked random from the outside but was quietly building toward something: Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida, Harvard Business School, Morgan Stanley, a family fund, CSX railroad modeling, and then running a small chain of community pharmacies in Dayton, Ohio.
His analyses led to an Ohio Auditor investigation uncovering $225 million in hidden PBM spread pricing, policy changes in more than a dozen states, and the restructuring of New York's $2 billion Medicaid drug benefit.
He founded Data 4 The People in late 2025 to democratize data-driven analysis.
In Eric's words
“For most of my life I've witnessed people twist data to win arguments rather than to understand the world. I've spent a decade trying to change that. With the O'Shaughnessy Fellowship, I'm finally going straight to it. The goal is to help people learn to use data to see the world from someone else's eyes. This can be built. And now, it will be.”
